Our client based in Tipperary is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

We require a Business Development Manager to drive increased revenue in Ireland UK and Mainland Europe. Reporting to Commercial Manager, this person will be responsible for initiating and developing relationships with new and existing customers, introducing the company’s current and leading edge in Value added Cooked meat sector.
The ideal candidate will be an energetic, hardworking and ambitious, with strong communication, problem-solving & organizational skills. The individual will be goal focused with a structured approach to achieving sales goals, generating sales leads, and handling technical /process Development projects within agreed timescales and inline with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:

· To initiate new customer product development briefs/projects received from sales personnel or directly from the customer.

· Identifying new Business opportunities.

· Working to Meet Companies Sales Targets by Developing these Business opportunities into Real Sales growth.

· Developing and maintaining business with existing and new customers working in conjunction with the sales and NPD team by developing innovative products.

· To communicate with cross-functional teams in relation to product/Process development within the business.

· Working with NPD Manager with product development briefs through to launch.

· Liaising directly with customer and obtaining all project details

· Customer Product Specifications

· Briefing of technical draft specification to Technical Manager

· Completion of Process Information for new product launches (Product Codes, Formulations, On Floor Specs. etc.).

· Co ordination of Customer Product Presentations

REQUIREMENTS:

· A primary degree in Food Science or related discipline.

· A minimum of 5 years experience in the food manufacturing sector, working in Business Development or sales capacity.

· Extensive travel will be a feature of the position.
