Key Account Representative - Logistics ( Cork )

Our client a global leader in Logistics is currently recruiting for a Key Account Representative to join there team in Cork.The Key Account Representative is a critical support function to the Business Development Manager . The role is responsible for maintaining and developing the business through ensuring excellence in accuracy and standards of all reporting tools, along with positive and professional management of the
supplier base.
The Role:
• To maintain and develop the business relationship with your assigned customers
• To meet and exceed business revenue goals agreed upon for your assigned customers
• Understand customers business and supply chain strategy.
• Development and management of customer control tools,
• Checking reports from operations departments and querying as necessary
• Filtering / resolving / escalating problems and advising resolutions for suppliers / customer matters
• Drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both customer and suppliers
• Ensuring meeting action items are followed up and closed.
• Gathering supplier pricing in agreed formats
• Acknowledging mails and taking initiative to activate investigations where applicable
• Scheduling QBRs and meetings
• Control and management of escalation and corrective action process with your line manager.
• Ensure internal account reporting structure is maintained on an ongoing basis.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 3 years‘ experience in freight operations is required.
• Strong administration skills
• Supplier engagement experience
• Working knowledge of road freight products
• PowerPoint and presentation ability
• Strong excel knowledge base
• GDP advanced (3 day course)
• High level of attention to detail
• Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook).
