Export Sales Account Manager

Multinational company with an established profile on the international market has an established market share in Spain and Portugual but would like to further develop their distribution network. This role will be based out of the Cork Office and will require strong FMCG Export Sales experience. They currently have established relationships with the major distributors across the world and given the scale and success of direct business relationship with Mainland European Multiples, they are moving towards a key account management model of marketing. J

Job Description

  • Managing and developing wholesalers accounts on an ongoing business by telephone and meeting clients in Spain and Portugal - travel required on a monthly basis
  • Meeting revenue and distribution targets on an ongoing basis
  • Liaising with operations to ensure consistent delivery to clients across the regions of Spain and Portugal
  • Identify market opportunities and convert these opportunities to salesWork closely with R& D to bring new products to the market and maintain market share for the range
  • Keeping abreast of the competition
  • Negotiating contracts for distribution and sourcing new channels for distribution

Skills/Experience

  • 3-5 years experience in direct sales and business development in the Spanish Territory.
  • Ideally Third Level Degree in Marketing, Product Management
  • Strong presentation skills, fully conversant in MS Office, Powerpoint, Excel and Word
  • Fluency in English, Spanish is required, Portuguese is desired but not a requirement
  • Strong team working skills, with the ability to work indepedently and ability to work cross culturally
  • Resilient, determined and strong communication skills
  • Previous experience in channel selling FMCG is desireable

  • General international experience within small/medium sized Company is an asset

  • Willingness to travel as necessary
